The Logistics Executive is responsible for managing the complete life cycle of logistics operations, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring the movement and storage of goods, services, and inventory.
The role involves ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
The Logistics Executive will collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and improve overall supply chain performance.Key Responsibilities:Planning & Coordination:Develop and implement logistics strategies, processes, and procedures.Plan and oversee transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth operations.Inventory Management:Monitor stock levels and manage inventory control systems.Optimize storage facilities and warehousing operations.Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy.Transport & Shipping:Arrange transportation for domestic and international shipments.Negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners for the best rates and services.Handle customs clearance, documentation, and compliance for cross-border shipments.Process Improvement:Analyze logistics data to identify areas for cost reduction and process optimization.Develop innovative solutions to improve supply chain efficiency.Implement industry best practices to enhance operational performance.Team Collaboration:Work closely with procurement, production, and sales teams to align logistics activities with business objectives.Lead and mentor logistics staff to ensure high performance and accountability.Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards.Identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics operations.Reporting & Documentation:Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics transactions.Generate reports and provide insights to management for decision-making.Ensure proper documentation for all shipping and logistics processes.Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation processes.Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.2-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.Certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.Knowledge of customs regulations and international trade is preferred.Work Environment:Office-based with occasional travel to warehouses, distribution centers, or suppliers.Fast-paced environment requiring quick decision-making and problem resolution.Interested candidates can call us or share your CV via email or WhatsApp.Email ID: Number: 9870191256FromHR TeamVS Consultancy Bangalore#J-18808-Ljbffr
