Volvo Group Australia has an opening for a Director Logistics to Lead the Logistics department at the Wacol Production Facility. The department includes production planning, material control, logistics preparation and engineering, inventory control, and warehouse operations. As a member of the site leadership team, in this role you will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team with whom you will continue the transformation of the logistics operations to secure readiness for the future, including e-mob and new industrial layout.
What you will do Responsible for the overall performance of the Logistics Department and to set and manage the strategic directions, aligned to the Wacol strategic Plan. Set and manage targets and KPIs for the department, and management of financial budget for the department. Drive systematic improvements of processes, to ensure readiness of systems and processes are in place to meet current and future production. Responsible for coordination with Production Logistics regarding freight agreements, precision and lead-time of sea and air freights. Lead competence and talent development to meet current and future production. Lead functional dialogue with GTP on supplier performance, with Production Logistics regarding freight, Sales organization and international manufacturing function on S&OP. Ensure compliance with VGA's Environmental Policy, quality standards, and Workplace, Health and Safety requirements.
