With a focus on maintaining the highest standards in procurement, production, logistics, and customer service, our client offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment in a fast-paced and collaborative industry.Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator role include:Coordinating Supply Chain Operations: Liaising with abattoirs to ensure timely supply of meat products and managing inventory levels.Customer Communication: Contacting customers to confirm orders, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues related to shipments.Booking and Managing Containers: Organizing and booking containers for both domestic and export shipments, ensuring compliance with transport regulations.Logistics Management: Overseeing the scheduling and tracking of deliveries to ensure timely and accurate shipments.Problem-Solving: Addressing any logistical challenges and ensuring smooth operations throughout the supply chain.Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of shipments, inventory, and communications with suppliers and customers.This role requires strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills to ensure efficient and seamless operations.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will have a strong background in logistics, preferably within the meat or food manufacturing industry.
They will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with experience in coordinating supply chain operations, liaising with suppliers, and managing customer relations.
A solid understanding of food safety and regulatory compliance will be highly valued.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in booking containers and coordinating deliveries is a plus.
