We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the supply chain. Your focus will be on coordinating transportation, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely deliveries while collaborating with suppliers, warehouses, and internal teams to optimise inventory levels and resolve logistical issues.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the scheduling, tracking, and timely delivery of shipments, ensuring smooth transportation of goods and materials. Collaborate with warehouses and internal teams to optimise inventory levels and ensure stock is maintained and replenished as needed. Oversee the movement of vehicles, materials, and equipment in and out of the yard. Ensure all activities are safe, efficient, and well-documented while complying with client requirements. Work closely with drivers, dispatchers, and other personnel to ensure timely loading, unloading, and dispatch of materials and equipment. Ensure all personnel adhere to company policies and local health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address any maintenance needs. Facilitate local pickups and deliveries, prepare materials and equipment for dispatch, and handle the loading/unloading of assets, plant, and equipment (often via forklift). Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the yard and outdoor storage areas, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Role-Specific Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain inventory levels. Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager/Operations Manager for equipment repairs and maintenance. Maintain accurate records of goods inwards/outwards, receipts, and stocktake. Ensure assets, machines, and vehicles are cleaned and pressure-washed to maintain their condition. About PPS:
