Our client is seeking to engage a Service Delivery Controller on a contract for 6 months with potential extension/permanency.
Location: North Sydney, Onsite work
Contract Duration: 6 Months Contract with Potential Extension/Permanency
Schedule: 12 Hours Rotating roster, 6 AM – 6 PM
Overtime: paid as per Rail award
Experience: Prior Experience in Supply chain/Logistics is ideal
Position OverviewThe Service Delivery Controller is responsible for coordinating services in real time and within the live run/service delivery horizon.
The Service Delivery Controller must ensure communication to key stakeholders in supply chain (e.g.
Network Providers, customers, port operations, maintenance providers, Train Crew) to ensure that trains run to schedule and accurate and timely information is provided to all relevant parties relating to train running.
Monitor performance to manage variation & get back on plan (based on geographic region).
Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for holding network providers accountable for providing the expected service, maintaining a customer focus, and escalating instances to the Team Leader.Responsible for understanding customer interests and delivering quality services to customers in line with customer expectations.Responsible as the region specialist to provide:
Third party supply network liaisonUnderstanding on system operating rulesUnderstanding on operating methodologyLabour planning for the relevant area of operationsTrain crew supportResponsible for minimising the impact of disruptions to the service delivery plan.Responsible for actively monitoring the delivery of cargoes and cargo assembly in accordance with customer requirements, and in conjunction with the stakeholders.Responsible for communicating key stakeholder information including train arrival and departure times, and train schedule information to relevant stakeholders, e.g.
network, maintenance.Compiling timely & accurate train manifest.Identifying opportunities to minimise cost in service delivery.Compliance to industrial instruments.Compliance to Rail Safety Act.Responsible for managing shift handover of own work.Identify opportunities to minimise road/vehicle travel for train crew.Our Ideal Candidate will have:Good understanding of local geographic conditions, e.g.
customers, network, load points/outs.Supply chain experience.Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, variation & dynamic change.Relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications or similar desirable.Relevant demonstrated experience in service delivery environment, and customer-focused operations.Understanding complex rail operations desirable.Experience in short term labour and/or asset planning and rostering or similar desirable.Exposure to safety and/or customer management systems.Understanding systems to determine root cause.Knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for rail haulage.Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and communication skills to negotiate, influence and resolve conflict within a dynamic and complex environment.Ability to work autonomously under broad direction and direct own work to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.If you feel you are a suitable candidate, submit your application by hitting "Apply for this job".
