The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of logistics activities including liaising with our Head Office in China for the submission of production orders whilst working collaboratively with other internal stakeholders and logistics service providers to ensure that costs are optimised and that service levels and deadlines are met.
What is a day in your life like? Supporting the Logistics Manager with the relationship management of key suppliers that perform logistics operations on behalf of MG Australia.Measurement of the performance of Compound and all other contractors against agreed KPIs.Supervision of the work compounds and any other contractors by means of regular visits to all the operational sites, minute meetings, discussions and inspections.Monitor and report weekly on any damage to vehicles whilst in storage.Report on any shipment or vehicle impounded by Australian Customs or Quarantine Inspection.The provision of vehicle freight required for the transportation of vehicles in Importing/Exporting/Inland.The supervision and resolution of marine, transit and any other insurance claims.Resolution and settlement of all dealer damage claims.Support the Management of the MG Australia Company Fleet.What we are looking for: Previous logistics or similar experience within the automotive industry.The ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment, be a fast learner with advanced interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail.Ability to work autonomously and efficiently.Advanced Excel Skills (v-look up and pivot tables). #J-18808-Ljbffr
