The Project: UGL has been appointed Principal Contractor for TransGrid's Maragle Switching Station and Transmission Line Project based in Maragle in New South Wales, approx. 500km southwest of Sydney, as part of the Snowy Mountain 2.0 Project.
The work involves: Design and construction of Maragle 330kV Switching Station and supporting works. Design and construction of two 330kV transmission lines, cut into Line 64, the installation of OPGW on a section of Line 64, and supporting works. We are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join the team and this role will be based on site on a 19:9 Roster. This role supports the Logistics Manager in the purchasing and material expediting functions across the Maragle. This position also maintains a strong working relationship with the Procurement team to ensure clear lines of communication and engagement with various suppliers of both services and materials.
What will a day look like in this role Implement appropriate purchasing and expediting systems, processes and resources to support sustainment activities; Support the Logistics Manager and Stores Supervisor on ensuring all supplies are readily available for the construction team; Participate in Procurement Policy and related instruments; Report to the Logistics Manager on key purchasing and expediting metrics and ensure material spend is aligned to budget.
