Logistics and Warehouse Assistant

We are searching for a Logistics and Warehouse Assistant to join our team as we accelerate our growth journey. This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is servicing the medical industry in providing laboratory automation products that make a difference in the world.
What you'll do:
Pick, pack and ship orders from our product range of systems, consumables and parts, as per dispatch processes.
Send urgent (same day) shipments as requested by the Customer Solutions Group.
Assist in the loading/unloading of inbound and outbound shipments.
Ensure the most cost-effective methods for outgoing freight are in practice (without compromising customer delivery expectations).
Check incoming goods against purchase order, ERP data entry, label and store in correct location or deliver to staff as applicable.
Match supplier invoices to corresponding purchase orders. Assist with sorting out mismatching supplier invoices/ purchase orders, as required.
Obtain accurate freight quotes from logistics providers and verify freight invoices for payment.
Co-ordinate shipments with logistics providers.
Create and review documentation sets for shipping or customs requirements.
Assist the Warehouse Coordinator, demand planning and other staff, as requested.
Provide back-up support for the Logistics Coordinator and other staff as required.
Follow company procedures for non-conforming products, return goods, defective material and material variances.
What you'll bring:
2+ years' experience with warehousing and inventory control processes in a manufacturing organization.
Relatable experience with ERP systems (previous experience with MS Nav or Oracle will be highly regarded).
Previous logistics experience particularly in exports would be favourable.
LF forklift license.
High level interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and a proven ability to work constructively to motivate a team.
High level of commitment and integrity.
Ability to manage multiple priorities from different stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff and management.
Problem solving skills.
Attention to detail, with ability to work accurately, unsupervised and consistently deliver results.
Computer literate, particularly with MS Office.
A strong team player.
