Our office is a fast-paced and ever-changing environment where no two days are the same! Loftus Transport and Engineering are looking for a permanent full-time Project Engineer based at our Roseanna Street Workshop.
This role is responsible for providing technical advice to our Boilermakers on various projects to meet client needs.
The successful applicant will undertake the following tasks: Review tender documents and respond to expressions of interest, ensuring alignment with company assessment tools to mitigate potential risks.
Compile estimates of man-hours and materials, including cost calculations to support project budgets and resource allocation.
Orchestrate precise purchasing, inventory reports, and documentation as part of project management responsibilities.
Direct production activities for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, analyzing reports for corrective action.
Ensure continuous customer satisfaction and contract fulfillment.
Demonstrate leadership through reliability, high performance, and guidance.
Provide technical support in the workshop and on-site by offering drawings, designs, and hands-on assistance to the team.
Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, encompassing planning, budgeting, and resource coordination.
This role is suited to those with the following experience: Qualified Engineer (Structural or Mechanical).
Assessment of quotes and expressions of interest.
Monitoring and controlling project budgets.
