Locum Veterinarian Full time Bathurst Central Animal Hospital RR-4408 The clinic may be fast-paced but our team couldn't be more relaxed.
We have achieved a collaborative team culture through regular staff meetings and strong trust when sharing cases.
Our management team is very approachable and openly communicative.
We have a friendly and supportive team of 3 veterinarians, 6 qualified vet nurses, and helpful kennel hands.
Our nurses are an integral part of our case work-up process; assisting with consults, admissions and discharges, taking bloods, and placing catheters.
Dates Required: 9 October - 20 October 2023 Roster: Our veterinarians typically work 4 days per week, clocking off at 5.30pm.
The week is evenly split between "consult days" (morning consults with some surgery in the afternoon) and "surgery days".
No after hours or weekends.
Equipment and Facilities: We're a new modern purpose-built clinic that was established in 2019.
The equipment we have on-site includes: Ultrasound & X-Ray Machine IDEXX (Catalyst, Procyte, Coagulation, Sedivue) Modern anaesthetic monitoring equipment Otoscopes and Ophthalmoscopes Dental Unit Practice Management Software: Ezy Vet Location: The clinic is within walking distance to many cafes and shops, with a grocery store right next door for emergency snacks.
Bathurst is less than 3 hours from both Sydney and Canberra, hosting events most weekends, such as live music and various festivals.
We also aren't too far away from dams/lakes for water sports and some great camping spots too.
Our Goals: Given how much our clinic has grown, we want to focus on providing a high level of care for our patients and clients, as well as continuing to build our already strong team culture.
About You: Must hold an Australian recognised veterinary degree You're excited to learn and develop new skills You have a positive and friendly attitude to complement our team Good communication with clients to ensure we cover all care options as we provide a range of advanced services while also referring when necessary (approx.
2-3 times per month with our nearest referral hospital in Sydney).
