Our client is a specialised ultrasound clinic located in Burnie, offering a comprehensive range of services including abdominal, renal, pelvic, musculoskeletal, vascular, and 3D/4D scans.
Established by a highly experienced sonographer with international experience, the clinic is dedicated to providing superior imaging services without the wait times commonly associated with other providers.
Their patient-focused approach ensures quality care, with accessible and detailed imaging results for referring healthcare professionals.
All about the role A locum sonographer is needed to cover a minimum of two days on the 30th of September and the 1st of October, however, there is an option for a 1 – 2 week locum period.
The position is at a mixed billing clinic operating Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with a new Canon machine.
The caseload includes MSK, general, small parts, breast, OB, and some GP-referred vascular scans.
The role requires a sonographer with at least three years of experience in private practice.
Accommodation, car, and travel support are provided.
Local sonographers are encouraged to get in touch.
All about the duties will I perform?
Cover scanning duties for the duration of the locum.
Perform scans including MSK, general, small parts, breast, OB, and some GP-referred vascular.
Utilise a brand-new Canon ultrasound machine.
Manage an evenly spaced caseload, with support from the reception team for fit-ins.
Provide high-quality imaging inline with protocols, procedures and policies.
Using Sono Review for reporting.
The skills and experience I need for this job Minimum Experience: At least 3 years as a sonographer in a private practice setting.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in performing a wide range of scans, including MSK, general, small parts, breast, OB, and GP-referred vascular scans.
Equipment Familiarity: Experience with or ability to quickly adapt to using Canon ultrasound machines.
Caseload Management: Ability to handle an evenly spaced caseload with potential fit-ins, supported by a well-managed reception team.
Reporting Skills: Proficiency in reporting, with knowledge or adaptability to Sono Review.
Credentialling: ASAR – full registration | Correct working rights for Australia | Adequate references | Proof of vaccinations | Completion of mandatory training – our team can step you through this.
