Job DescriptionJob Description Reporting to the Rail Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:
Ensuring safe & efficient shunting activitiesPerform assigned duties in accordance with SCT Rail's policies and work instructions.Commitment to safety in the workplaceEnsure compliance with all of SCT's OHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislationA strong customer focus orientationBe able to work in a team environment and in some cases unsupervisedDesired Skills and ExperienceDesired Skills and Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Minimum 2 years' experience working in rail operations.Shunting & Train Driving Qualifications.Good interpersonal and communication skillsCurrent Track Access Permit (TAP)Valid C Class Driver's LicenseConduct himself/herself in a manner that ensures SCT Rail is recognised as a safe, reliable and quality supplier of rail related servicesOther important information We reserve the right to commence recruitment proceedings prior to the stated closing date.The successful candidate will have to undertake an Australian Federal Police check and Pre-Employment Medical (for certain roles) which will be arranged and paid for by SCT.Recruitment companies, need not apply.SCT is an equal opportunity employer and we recognise the value and importance of diversity.
