Reporting to the business owner, the Load Planner will support in the scheduling and planning of loads to deliver excellent logistics management services for the company and its customers. The role is responsible for the efficiency of the linehaul department by providing excellent administrative support in managing and coordinating the company's requirements. This role is fast-paced and will suit someone with energy, personal drive, and flexibility.
Key accountabilities include (but are not limited to): Providing effective communication with external and internal customersEnsuring designated freight is loaded, dispatched, and delivered within the agreed timeframesEnsuring loads are planned for direct delivery where possibleInvestigating all instances of service failure, identifying and investigating root causesMaintaining accurate records (Proof Of Delivery etc.)Ensuring loads are planned to adhere to regulatory restraints/regulationsEnsuring accurate and timely entry and completion of manifests, including all subcontractor paymentsSkills & Experience for Success: Experience in a similar role is desirable, however not essentialProficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft applicationsThe ability to work effectively in a team within a fast-changing environmentDeveloping a positive working relationship with stakeholdersEager to learn and developStrong personal initiativeAbility to meet deadlinesStrong work ethic and a 'Can do' attitudeStrong time management and planning skillsExceptional communication skills both written and verbalAttention to detail with a high degree of accuracyYou will ultimately deal with all drivers, so will require strong and concise communication skills.
