Baiada Group is looking for a Livestock Compliance Officer located in Tamworth NSW.

The Livestock Compliance Officer is primarily responsible for conducting, compiling and benchmarking compliance within the region and between regions and driving continuous improvements.
The position reports to the National Technical & Welfare Manager.
The position has direct working relationships with, but not limited to, Baiada Senior Management Team, internal and external auditors, Baiada Farm Management as well as contractor growers.
Key Responsibilities:Involves routine auditing of parent breeder farms and meat chicken farms in the region as well as auditing of the hatchery and processing facilities to ensure compliance with Baiada's internal systems including animal welfare, biosecurity and safe quality food (SQF).Ensure the management and monitoring of RSPCA compliance and other external customer requirements, including maintaining documentation, corrective action responses and audit scheduling across the region.Responsible for conducting internal and external audits in the area including: Animal welfare, YUM, Internal, Biosecurity, Safe Quality Food (SQF), RSPCA and other audits as required.Requirements:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but also contribute as part of a team.Excellent communication skills and strong commitment to work related responsibilities.Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel.A genuine interest in animal welfare, biosecurity and quality assurance within the poultry industry.Work well with others, both Baiada and external staff.Highly motivated to improve to achieve and maintain compliance results.Auditing or quality assurance qualifications or experience would be beneficial.Poultry industry experience preferred.Personal Attributes Required:Works well unsupervised or in a team environment.Conscientious, able to see tasks through to completion.Desire to take ownership and responsibility.A genuine concern for stock welfare.If you believe you are ready to take on this challenging and rewarding role, please forward your comprehensive resume including your experience and references via the appropriate link.
