ABOUT THE ROLE This is an opportunity to build something from the ground up. The Team Leader (Coordinator) - Strategy and Architecture plays a crucial role in our organisation by providing leadership, guidance and support in planning, analysis and prioritisation of Council needs in information and communication technology, which will enable Council to achieve its objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop the Enterprise Architecture practice including consideration of data, integration, security, infrastructure, minimisation of technology debt and transition states throughout technology transformations.Develop and lead a Solution Architecture Practice that enables our technology domains and program, and project teams and effectively supports solution option selection.In partnership with the CIO, support the definition of the delivery roadmap and technology strategy across IT.Direct all aspects of a significant multifaceted program of work through the full lifecycle, applying strong and resilient leadership that promotes a bold collaborative approach in project delivery.Collecting, assessing, agreeing and documenting business requirements (including work flows and use case preparation) for ICT projects and services based on Council priorities.Engaging with Council staff at all levels. Organise and run various forums, workshops, organise, design and collect user satisfaction surveys.Leading the investigation and option analysis of technology solutions for business initiatives.Providing necessary training and communication in relation to the projects and services delivered by ITS Department.Leading UAT (user acceptance testing) and collaboration with subject matters experts.Liaising with service providers, negotiating SLAs (service level agreements).In this role, you will manage 8 direct reports and provide mentoring while encouraging staff to work in a collaborative, learning environment that promotes communication, transfer of knowledge and learning.
ABOUT YOU The successful applicant will have:
Relevant formal qualifications in technology or suitable business orientated degree and/or equivalent industry experience gained by practical application over a minimum of 7 years.Significant experience in Business Analysis (5 years or more). Proven track record in leading or participating in successful projects, which have made a difference to the organisations.Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish and maintain useful partnerships with people at all levels, through consistent actions, values and communication.Solid experience in producing business cases, tender processes including specifications development, responses evaluation.Extensive experience facilitating and conducting workshops.Proven ability to lead a team, empower and motivate people, support peers and manager.Demonstrated customer services experience.Experience with user acceptance testing and training.BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH US Opportunities to expand your knowledge.Ability to accrue up to two days of flexitime leave per month, which equates to up to 24 days per year (this is in addition to four weeks of annual leave per year).Health and wellbeing benefits include two health and wellbeing leave days per calendar year and access to our Employee Assistance Program.Career progression opportunities & ongoing professional development.Access to a Fitness Passport.Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
