Owens & Minor is seeking a dynamic and motivated Live Chat Assistant to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a Live Chat Assistant, you'll engage with our clients and ensure they receive timely assistance, information, and support, all while representing our commitment to excellence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Customer Support:** Provide exceptional customer service through live chat by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and directing customers to the appropriate resources within the company.

- **Product Knowledge:** Maintain an in-depth understanding of our products and services, enabling you to effectively assist clients and answer their questions.

- **Research:** Use research skills to gather pertinent information related to customer inquiries and ensure queries are resolved efficiently.

- **Negotiation Skills:** Employ negotiation tactics when applicable to assist in the resolution of issues or to effectively communicate terms, options, and offers to customers.

- **Documentation:** Accurately document interactions in the customer relationship management (CRM) system to track issues, solutions, and feedback effectively.

- **Collaboration:** Work closely with other departments to escalate unresolved issues, share customer feedback, and participate in planning for service improvements.

- **Performance Metrics:** Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for response times, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution rates, ensuring that you continually strive to exceed expectations.

- **Team Engagement:** Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions to share insights and learn new customer service techniques.

- **Quality Assurance:** Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, while consistently promoting our company values.

**Requirements:**

- **Experience:** A minimum of 4 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a live chat support environment.

- **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

- **Technical Skills:** Proficient in using live chat software, CRM systems, and other communication platforms. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
