Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to representing and advising clients on various matters, such as:Partnership and shareholder disputes;Family farm disputes;Professional liability matters;Discrimination law; andPreparing and advising on employment contracts and employment instruments.You will have the opportunity to work on large and challenging matters, from VCAT through to the Court of Appeal.
We regularly work with excellent members of counsel, including King's Counsel, offering a further opportunity for the successful candidate to enhance their skills and knowledge.About you...The successful candidate must have 2+ years of relevant post-admission experience in one or both of these areas.
In addition, you will also be able to demonstrate:An ability to work with complex legal issues and how they fit within a broader commercial context;An aptitude for working in fast-paced environments, such as longer trials;Good legal instincts; andAn overarching desire to help our clients navigate through whatever it is they are seeking our assistance with.You must also be someone who likes working in a team on larger matters but is also happy to take primary responsibility for your own smaller matters.
