We are looking to employ a solicitor to work on claims for victims of dust diseases and abuse.The position is based in Sydney but requires travel and contact with clients all around Australia, as well as work in courts in multiple jurisdictions.The successful applicant will be supervised and supported by Tanya Segelov, a principal of the firm, with an expectation of significant direct client contact, court appearances and file management.The role requires a person who:is compassionate and able to communicate with clients who are terminally ill, and their families, as well as persons with significant psychological issues.has the capacity to progress matters quickly, particularly when clients are close to death.is focused on detail, and has good legal drafting and research skills.is flexible and can provide high-quality, personalised legal representation to vulnerable people.is willing to work both as part of a team and independently.is ambitious and wants to develop their career and our practice.What you'll bringTo succeed in this role, you'll have:A Bachelor of Laws with a current practising certificate.At least one year of post-admission experience in litigation, preferably in personal injury.
