Position OverviewThe Literacy Support Officer works as part of Gillen's Language and Literacy team to implement evidence-based programs to improve students' speech, reading, and writing, including screening for word recognition and language comprehension difficulties. The Language and Literacy Support Officer is involved in daily language and literacy program delivery and works with Gillen's Language and Literacy Team, including external Speech and Language Pathologists, to design and/or deliver small group interventions.
