Duties: Conducting routine inspections of vehicles and identifying potential issuesPerforming oil changes, tune-ups, and other routine maintenance tasksDiagnosing and repairing problems with engines, brakes, suspensions, and other systemsReplacing damaged or worn-out parts, such as tires, batteries, and beltsTesting and fine-tuning repaired vehicles to ensure proper performanceKeeping accurate records of maintenance and repairs performedNecessary Skills and Qualifications To excel as a motor mechanic, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systemsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot complex problemsExcellent manual dexterity and physical coordinationAttention to detail and ability to perform tasks preciselyFamiliarity with software-based diagnostic tools and equipmentHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is desirableCertification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or other recognized organization is preferred
