A Tassie icon, J Boag and Son Brewing (Boags) has been producing its brews steeped in the rich history of the land it calls home!
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Trade/Fitter to join the team at the James Boags Brewery in Launceston, TAS. This is a Permanent Full-time on-site role, the position is predominantly day shift Monday through Friday. The hours of work will be a 36-hour week comprising of either a 3 x 12 hour or 4 x 9 hour week, with occasional additional on-call work.
As the Mechanical Trade, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance, process and equipment improvement projects, fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs. You will work across a variety of areas and processes including Brewing, Packaging and Utilities.
What you will bring to the role: With your diagnostic skills already evident, this role would suit a logical thinker that has experience using problem solving tools. Experience within brewing, manufacturing, mining or FMCG is highly regarded. Any experience working on packaging machines, pump installation and maintenance would be highly regarded. Team player, passionate and willing to go the extra mile to make a difference. Experience with SAP EAM for work order and materials management along with computer literacy is desirable.
