Linux Systems Engineer Focus On Automation

As the Systems Administrator - you will actively plan and manage the ongoing development and maintenance of the test and production environments with a strong automation focus. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise in developing upgrades, executing release cycles, and making improvements for business continuity across software application upgrades.Your role will be part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising of a wide range of stakeholders so your ability to communicate effectively is key to this role.Experience Required :Essential: Strong experience with Linux automation and administrationExperience using IT automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Salt, ChefExperience with container orchestration tools like Docker, Podman, KubernetesExperience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab Runners, Jenkins, BambooExperience with virtualization platforms like VMWare, Hyper-VDesirable: Experience with Windows OS automation (PowerShell)Background as a Systems Administrator on medium to large projectsExperience with networking, routing, switching, firewalls, troubleshootingExperience with agile ticketing and documentation tools like Atlassian suiteTechnical experience with information security best practicesKnowledge of cyber operations and toolsetsExperience with Australian government and/or DefenceResponsibilities:Support the ongoing development of a complex environmentSystems administration and maintenanceSecurity and ComplianceAutomation and scriptingExcellent opportunity to get on a long-term contract and work on some cool tech!All applications should include your resume as a word document.
