Linux Engineer

Our Federal Government client is looking for an experienced Linux Engineer for an initial 12 months contract plus extensions. The Linux Engineer will be responsible for: Run and maintain core IT services, upon which all other IT services are based.
Including; data centres, servers, virtualization, operating systems, storage, backup, time, logging, email, domain name resolution, web proxying and security.Securely manage connections to/from the internet and other government networks.Perform daily security monitoring and risk mitigations across the organization's IT environment.Meeting project and BAU requirements.Essential Requirements: Proven Linux Engineering experienceVirtualisation (VMware)Block and file storage (Pure Storage)Backup (Cohesity)Log index/search (Splunk)Monitoring (Zabbix, Splunk)DNS (BIND)NTPSMTP (Postfix)Web proxying (Squid and Forcepoint/Websense)RSA SecurIDDue to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizen and have an active Baseline or NV1 Clearance.
