We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team and contribute to our financial health and growth.
Position Overview: The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial functions within our business. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of financial processes, effective cashflow management, and the efficient handling of operational and administration tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the company's financial health and operational efficiency.
This is a part-time role, we require someone 5 days per week, in the office, for between 5-6 hours per day. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, budgets and forecasts. Prepare and complete month-end and year-end closing processes. Develop and manage the annual budget. Monitor financial performance against budget and provide analysis. Develop and manage cashflow forecasts and projections. Update weekly cashflow forecast and update leadership team. Prepare and lodge Payroll Tax Returns (monthly and yearly). Preparation and submission of statutory returns including BAS, and IAS. Prepare and process payroll, including overseeing timesheet approvals to ensure timely and accurate payments. Manage superannuation obligations. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of deposit claims, retention and final claims on jobs. Ensure timely invoicing and collections. Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions. Identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvements. Identify and mitigate financial risks. Implement and monitor internal controls. Oversee general office administration to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and procurement by Admin team. Coordinate administrative support activities, including supervising administrative staff and ensure efficient office workflows. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. Proven experience in financial management. Experience in a professional services business is preferred but not essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Xero and previous exposure to a job management system would be ideal. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail, whilst having "big picture" thinking and business acumen. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
