Key areas:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts Dismantle and inspect engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other parts to identify issues Repair or replace defective parts and reassemble components, referencing service manuals when necessary Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to enhance vehicle performance and meet emissions standards Reassemble engines and components after repairs, ensuring all systems are restored to optimal function Test and adjust mechanical systems post-repair to verify proper operation and reliability Utilise diagnostic tools and computer systems to troubleshoot and test vehicle parts effectively Conduct vehicle inspections and issue roadworthy certificates or provide detailed reports on required repairs Respond to breakdowns by providing on-site mechanical support as needed Are you the one?

Yo u can demonstrate:
Mechanical Trade qualification and experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is essential Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals HR/HC licence is desirable but not essential The ability to work to schedules with strong time management Strong customer service and communication skills Proactive approach and positive attitude At Linfox, we are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace where people can perform at their best.
