JLE Group is an industry leading High Voltage (HV) specialist & ASP Utility business based in Dubbo, the regional hub of Central West NSW.
JLE specialises in design and construction of HV and LV power systems on the utilities & private HV networks including Authority network upgrades, large infrastructure projects and ongoing maintenance of HV equipment.

Due to the success and ongoing growth of the business we are seeking enthusiastic people to grow their career through our apprenticeship program.

We have several opportunities available for Apprentice Linesperson in Dubbo to start in 2025 or earlier.

As an Apprentice Linesperson, you will:

Construct overhead, high and low voltage electrical distribution and HV sub-transmission systems Construct HV & LV under subdivisions Be trained to operate multiple types of plant Have the opportunity to work on diverse projects including in the growing renewables sector; mining; and major road and infrastructure projects.
Enjoy access to on-the-job training and mentoring within a rewarding team environment.

Additional training is provided as part of the Linesperson Apprenticeship program which is valued at over $20,000.
This includes:

High Risk Over 11-metre EWP ticket.
HR Truck Licence.
Neca ASP 1 Underground Cable joint course and Essential Energy Network Accreditation.

This is a varied job and will support the development of multiple skills.
Day to day tasks would include:

High Voltage Cable Installation Civil Works - excavation, trenching and backfilling Pit and pipe works - laying conduit and installing pits High Voltage Cable jointing and terminations Installation of power poles Overhead Argumentation and Stringing

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Open and willing to learn on the job while working on a range of exciting projects including renewables and major road projects.
A willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
Reliable and punctual.
Current Driver's Licence (P1, P2, C Class and above).
White card (desirable but not essential).
Ability to work well as part of a team Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities Availability to work out of town on occasion.
