DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Human Resources People Support Advisor to join our South Pacific HR Operations team predominantly supporting our Western Region and based in Perth, Western Australia. This 12-month fixed term role is an excellent opportunity to build your HR career in a dynamic and growing region and work with a fun, collaborative and growth mind set team.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
HR Process Deployment: Support and ensure the smooth execution of HR processes and activities within a specific site or organizational unit. You will help manage key HR functions such as industrial relations, performance management, and employee relations.Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Work closely with managers and employees to resolve workplace issues, offer guidance on conflict resolution, and ensure a positive, productive work environment. Provide coaching and counseling on employment matters, ensuring compliance with policies and best practices. This also includes conducting workplace investigations.Compensation & Benefits Administration: Work with HR leadership to manage compensation strategies and benefits administration. Assist in ensuring competitive and equitable pay structures and assist with the implementation of new benefits programs.Training & Development: Coordinate training needs assessments, help develop training programs, and facilitate employee development initiatives. You will also assist in identifying skill gaps and recommend solutions to ensure employees' continuous growth.Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure HR policies, procedures, and legislative requirements are followed and implemented in the workplace. Advise management on compliance issues and help implement solutions to mitigate risks.Data Management & Reporting: Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Generate reports and provide insights on HR metrics to assist in decision-making.Staffing & Recruitment Support: Assist in the recruitment process, including workforce data analysis and helping to develop staffing strategies. Partner with managers to ensure the right talent is brought into the organization.RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Generalist HR experience within an operations environment would be ideal however is not essential.A strong willingness to learn and become an integral team member is essential.Excellent communication skills: Ability to engage with employees at all levels and convey information in a clear and professional manner.Team-oriented mindset: A collaborative approach to working with others, both within HR and across other business units.Strong organizational and time-management skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.Problem-solving abilities: Proactive in identifying HR issues and finding practical, effective solutions.Experience in HR systems: Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) or similar data management systems would be an advantage.Willingness to travel: Occasional travel to other branches may be required to support HR initiatives and assist with employee relations issues.QUALIFICATIONS
This role will predominantly support our Western Region and be based from our Perth Office. Some travel may be required to support of Branches across this region from time to time. Excellent communication is essential for this position. A willingness to learn and lean into complex problems is also important. Team oriented.
