Our Opportunity Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue's Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people Roster: 7D7N14R – FIFO ex Perth, Broome, Kununurra Fortescue is seeking a skilled Line Borer to join the Mobile Equipment Maintenance team at Christmas Creek on a 2:2 roster.
In this role, you will support the mobile maintenance fleet with planned and unplanned line boring tasks on a variety of earthmoving components, both in the workshop and during field-based operations.
Key Responsibilities Setup and operation of machining tools and equipment.
Complete minor welding and fabrication tasks as required.
Use liquid nitrogen for the assembly and fitting of various components.
Maintain and troubleshoot boring equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Qualifications and Experience Australian Recognised Trade Qualification in Fabrication or Machining.
Proven experience in mobile equipment maintenance and repairs.
Proficient in lathe operation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
SAP experience is highly desirable.
