THE ROLE As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will provide highly technical leadership and expertise to guide junior engineers in project work, designs, and technical problem-solving. Your responsibilities will include:
Manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support throughout project lifecycles Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate project requirements and propose innovative solutions Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to enhance our services and offerings Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide regular updates on project progress ABOUT YOU You will be a highly skilled and motivated engineer, with a proactive and innovative mindset, constantly seeking opportunities for business development and introducing new market trends and innovations. As a successful candidate seeking a long-term role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Electrical Engineering Degree (Australian Accredited) RPEQ/V qualified (or the ability to obtain in first 12 months) Expertise in Power Systems Proficiency in software packages such as SKM PTW, ETAP, PowerFactory, PSCAD, and PSSE (ADVANTAGE) Extensive experience in developing reports, specifications, and technical papers in a professional engineering environment Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to guide and support junior engineers in project work, designs, and technical problem-solving. In-depth knowledge of International Standards, Australian Standards, and relevant legislative requirements.
