SummaryThe Head of Hydrogen Australia will lead and manage all renewable energy development activities to supply BP's hydrogen projects, as well as optimise solar, wind, BESS and hybrid solutions to deliver low-cost green energy into H2 and green metal / steel markets.Duties and ResponsibilitiesKey contact for BP interface H2 team to optimise the energy solution for BP projects.Originate, develop and optimise solar, wind, BESS and hybrid projects.Manage transmission solutions in SWIS and NWIS.Draw on Lightsource BP Engineering Centre of Excellence, EPC Delivery, Planning and other teams.Develop new business opportunities.Develop strong working relationships and liaise closely with other business divisions including engineering, planning, grid, energy markets, delivery, legal and finance to assist in the development of projects.Manage direct reports and matrix team members.Align development strategy with state-specific strategies, objectives and funding opportunities.Increase our industry presence and influence through engagement with key stakeholders.Understand and develop company strategies and develop business and business practices accordingly.Who We're Looking For KnowledgeExcellent understanding of renewables industry, energy and environmental issues.Technical understanding of solar, wind, and BESS development and construction.Understanding of environmental planning constraints.Consolidated experience in origination, development and optimization of solar, wind, BESS and hybrid projects.Demonstrated experience understanding the commercial activities including financial models, funding arrangements, and legals.Varied experience in private and public sector, showing adaptability and ability to learn quickly.Experience developing strong working relationships and liaising closely with other business divisions including engineering, planning, grid, energy markets, delivery, legal and finance to assist in the development of projects.ExperienceProven track record of :Demonstrated experience proficient in renewable energy, green hydrogen production involving project development and execution, engineering management, project management in Australia.External and internal stakeholder engagement.Management of major renewable and / or energy development projects.Developing and managing work projects, deadlines and task-related resources.Adapting to new challenges and learning swiftly.Completing tasks on schedule with excellent quality.Negotiation skills and communication skills.Why You'll Want to Work for UsBe you : We pride ourselves on being an inclusive community, where every individual is valued and treated with respect.Be responsible : Our culture is driven by our core values.
