The Opportunity As an Industrial Lighting Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving their growth within the commercial and industrial market segments.
Your mission is to forge and nurture customer relationships, uncover new business opportunities, and champion their cutting-edge lighting solutions.
This is your chance to significantly impact their growth strategy while being part of a switched-on and collaborative team.
Salary $130 - $150k Key Skills Customer engagement: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with electrical contractors, architects, and key project stakeholders.
New business development: Seek out and secure new project opportunities within the commercial and industrial sectors.
Account growth: Devise strategies to expand existing accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction.
Sales strategy: Collaborate with senior management to formulate and implement sales strategies, providing regular sales forecasts and managing your sales pipeline.
Market insights: Offer valuable market insights to the sales and marketing teams to refine product offerings and promotional strategies.
Internal stakeholder collaboration: Support and guide the internal lighting design and sales support team.
Event representation: Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
Compliance and standards: A strong understanding of all product and compliance standards.
About You Industry expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience in business development within the lighting or electrical industry.
Technical: Extensive understanding of lighting solutions, capable of discussing technical details with clients.
Effective communicator: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
Strategic mindset: Ability to identify growth opportunities, manage projects, and develop actionable plans.
Results-oriented: Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
Collaborative: Team player with a collaborative approach, thriving in a team environment.
Self-motivated: Independent worker with the ability to manage a sales territory with minimal supervision.
Organised: Strong time management skills, able to prioritise key activities effectively.
