We are now seeking a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our Maintenance team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. This role is accountable to the Light Vehicle Supervisor and is responsible for the servicing and maintenance of a large and varied fleet. This fleet includes Toyota vehicles, CAT loaders, busses, skid steers, light trucks, generators and other ancillary equipment.
This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.
Accountabilities: Ensuring equipment complies with Anglo Gold Ashanti and state safety and operating requirements. Service, diagnose and repair light vehicles and associated equipment. Breakdown and preventative maintenance tasks. Assist in the running of Light Vehicle Department/ Workshop. About You People are at the heart of everything we do. A Trade Qualification in motor vehicle engineering. Proven experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic. Demonstrated competence in maintenance of a light vehicle fleet and associated equipment. Knowledge on Toyota fleet/vehicles, hydraulic systems diagnosis and repair, electrical/electronic systems diagnosis and repair and air conditioning systems diagnosis and repair. Experience with SAP is desirable. A self-starter and have dedicated commitment to safety, quality and teamwork. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Current WA Drivers Licence. The ability to obtain a new National Police Clearance. Existing and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia (Mandatory).
