The mobile maintenance team at Granny Smith Gold Mine has an opportunity for a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our mobile maintenance team at Granny Smith Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Leading Hand: Mechanical Light Vehicle and working from our large, well-equipped workshop, you will be responsible for providing quality and timely preventative vehicle maintenance and repairs of light vehicles.
This role is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, 7 days on, 7 days off roster and is FIFO from Perth or DIDO for the local community.
Benefits include: 10-year Life of Mine – Stability Plus!Long service leave pro rata after 5 years of continuous servicePaid family and domestic violence leaveEducational assistanceAbout the role: Provide reliable and accurate assistance and practical application to minimise downtime and potential loss of production within the processing team.Practice preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repair of plant equipment.Share and display your maintenance knowledge, expertise, and practical application to minimise downtime and ensure production targets are met.Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing maintenance orders.About you: Australian recognised Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Light Vehicle) Qualification or equivalent.Experience in servicing and maintaining Toyota VDJ Landcruisers and Hiluxes.Experience working on Isuzu Trucks, Gen Sets, and ancillary equipment is desirable.Current High Risk Forklift and Dogging Ticket is desirable.Auto Electrical experience is desirable.Gold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
