This exciting opportunity allows you to gain real work experience working alongside qualified tradespeople in the industry and learn all their is to know about the trade so you can become a qualified tradesperson by the end of the apprenticeship! This is an entry-level role that is targeted for a school leaver!  DUTIES WILL INCLUDE Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues in cars Performing repairs, replacements, and routine maintenance tasks Working with electrical systems, including wiring, circuits and components Engine rebuilding, from top-end jobs to full engine overhauls Maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance for customer and regulatory purposes Interacting with clients, explaining repairs, providing estimates, and ensuring their satisfaction Jump-starting vehicles Carry out vehicle safety inspections WHY CHOOSE THIS CAREER PATH? Hands on learning:  This opportunity allows you to gain practical experience to ensure you are well equipped with necessary skills.  Expert Instructions:  Learn from qualified professionals that can mentor you through your apprenticeship.  Become trade qualified :  One day a week you'll attend TAFE and undertake theory and practical lessons to gain a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.  APPRENTICESHIP INFORMATION During the duration of the apprenticeship (48-months) you will be working full-time (38 hours per week), Monday to Friday learning all the skills of the trade within the working environment.  You and will attend TAFE one day per week for three years, where you will learn theory and practical areas within the trade to gain a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and be a qualified tradesperson at the completion of your apprenticeship.  POTENTIAL CAREER PATHWAYS AFTER APPRENTICESHIP Once you have completed your apprenticeship you will be a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.  This qualification can provide a pathway to own your own business in the industry or move into roles like: Light vehicle technician, quick service technician, service advisor and workshop supervisor.  SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Mechanical Aptitude:  You should have a natural curiosity and interest in how things work, especially automobiles. Problem-Solving:  Be ready to tackle complex automotive issues and find innovative solutions. Attention to Detail:  Precision is key when working with vehicles, from engine components to electrical systems. Dexterity:  Nimble hands and steady fingers for precise work. Communication Skills:  Effective communication with customers and team members is vital.
