About the roleAs a lifestyle support worker/supported independent living lifestyle support worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our consumers to live their best life - empowering individuals to build confidence, work towards their goals, and improve their mental wellbeing while connecting with the community.You will work one-on-one in the homes and communities of our consumers to support them in living as independently as possible.
Selectability is currently seeking individuals interested in working in supported independent living; these shifts are predominantly night shifts and may vary from time to time.Balancing work and personal commitments can be a challenge.
Whether you are pursuing further education or caring for loved ones during the day, having the flexibility of working a night schedule can assist in supporting your lifestyle.You may work with consumers in their homes to carry out activities like cleaning and organizing, preparing healthy meals, or maintaining a yard and generally making positive choices.
A key part of the role is supporting consumers to improve their confidence in accessing the community and engaging in activities that will help them achieve their goals.
