Lifestyle Facilitator (Disability Support Worker)We are on the search for additional casual members to join our Lifestyle Facilitator (Disability Support Worker) team to work with our clients in Mackay.
As a Lifestyle Facilitator, no day is the same.
You will be assisting our clients to live their best and most independent life as possible.
You will help them to achieve their own personal goals, which will mean providing support in areas of daily living, social support, and personal care (including showering and toileting).
The successful applicant will: Possess a genuine passion for working with people.Be reliable, flexible, and committed to assisting people to achieve their goals and live their best life.Have good availability and flexibility with rostering.Maintain exceptional professional standards of care and support.Have own vehicle with full comprehensive insurance and be willing to use it for client transport.Shifts available include but are not limited to: Shifts available 24/7 both in Supported Independent Living and in the Community.Key Selection Criteria: Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support is highly desirable but not essential.
Personal experience will also be considered.Demonstrated exceptional communication skills and ability to complete records and documentation accurately.Ability to follow instructions and policies and procedures effectively.Willingness to work as part of a team and at times, independently.Sound knowledge of the NDIS practice standards.Current First Aid and CPR certificates.Current NDIS Worker Screening (yellow card) and Working with Children Check (blue card) - or willingness to obtain.Completed free NDIS orientation modules:"Quality safety and you""Supporting safe and enjoyable meals"Salary packaging and extensive face-to-face and online training are available, offered by Spinal Life Australia and National Disability Services.
