Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)We are seeking Permanent Lifestyle Team Members / Coordinators at both our Aegean Village and Croydon Park sites. Please outline in your application, which site you are interested in working at.The Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward-thinking, progressive Aged Care organisation in our Lifestyle Team, as a permanent part-time (or full-time) Lifestyle Coordinator.As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for our residents through the design and delivery of engaging lifestyle programs.You will work both independently and as part of a team, thriving in a fast-paced environment where your efforts make a tangible difference to our residents.What you'll do and be responsible for:Activity Planning: Develop, design, implement and evaluate a diverse range of lifestyle programs tailored to the residents' interests, abilities, and preferences.Activity Facilitation: Facilitate group activities and one-on-one interactions that promote social engagement, physical activity, cognitive stimulation and emotional wellbeing.Resident Assessments: Create and review Lifestyle Assessments to ensure needs-based programming is occurring. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care and clinical team to ensure lifestyle programs align with individual resident care plans.Documentation: Maintain detailed records and provide regular reporting on resident participation and program outcomes.Program Implementation: Oversee the execution of planned activities and events. Ensure that the activities are well-organized, safe, and inclusive, allowing all residents to participate to the maximum of their abilities.Continuous improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the lifestyle program through feedback, research and innovation; working with the team to ensure innovative, creative and dynamic approaches are provided by meeting the changing needs of our residents.Leadership: Provide ongoing support and training to new and existing care staff, promoting a person-centred approach culture.Volunteer Coordination: Support with the onboarding and coordination of volunteers who can assist with the delivery of activities and events in your nominated house area.What you'll need to succeed:Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of lifestyle programs in an aged care or community setting.Strong understanding of the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of elderly people.An appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity.Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure, or relevant qualifications in leisure, recreation, occupational therapy or a related field.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with residents and their families.Creativity and resourcefulness in developing engaging and meaningful activities.Commitment to person-centred care and the promotion of independence and wellbeing.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.It would be helpful if you had (but is not essential to apply for the role):A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to apply).If you want to join our amazing team, St Basil's offers:A competitive salary based on experience.A friendly and inclusive culture, where the values of courtesy and kindness underpin everything that we do.Salary packaging to maximise your take-home pay.Professional development opportunities.A supportive and inclusive work environment.How to Apply:If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining:your relevant experience and qualifications.what motivates you to apply for this role.via the apply now link.
