The Role We have an exciting and creative opportunity to join our team in the role of Lifestyle Coordinator. This full-time position reports to the Facility Manager, with the support of fellow care workers and assistants to coordinate the activities at our Aged Care Toowoomba - Mount Lofty Nursing Home | Infinite Care (infin8care.com.au) facility. This position is pivotal to the wellbeing of our residents and requires the successful candidate to ensure all residents in the facility receive engaging and creative lifestyle programs which cater to their individual, social and cultural needs.
Key Responsibilities Collaboratively develop, implement, manage and evaluate lifestyle programs for all residents in both a group and individualised capacity, whilst managing budgets, overseeing and assessing the value and suitability of the program(s)Lead and guide a team of Lifestyle AssistantsCoordinate activities (internal and external to the facility) to cater for all aspects of our resident's home environment including the social, religious and cultural requirements of each individual.Provide input during resident care assessments to enable individualised development of programs for optimal resident lifestyle outcomes.Prepare all required facility communications and have the primary role for organising all individual and facility celebrations (eg: Birthdays, Christmas, etc)Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities and document any observations or concerns.Support the admission of new residents to facilities and initial consultations with resident and families.Collaborate with clinical staff to incorporate therapeutic, holistic and resident-centric activities into daily routines.Develop and maintain strong stakeholder network and rapport with residents, families, facility team members, volunteers and local community groups.Manage and document risk for the facility and ensure a commitment to continuous improvements.You will offer? Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle/Health, Diversional Therapy (or similar)Minimum 2 years experience within a similar roleYou will have innate empathy for our residents and be committed to continually improving the quality of care and the social environment provided to them.Outstanding approach to client service and providing programs that are innovative and individualised to meet resident requirements.Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve required outcomes.Demonstrated understanding and knowledge regarding the AN-ACC framework would be beneficial.Excellent communication skills, with strong time management and organisational skill setsHigh level of computing skills.A confident and collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that has a passion for resident social and wellness outcomes.Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and have a balanced, diplomatic and compassionate approach to sensitive and emotional situations that can arise.Ability to 'think on your feet'A fun and positive approach with a creative flare and the ability to light up a room is a big plus!Have a valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or ability to apply via How to apply | NDIS).What's in it for you!
