DescriptionAbout the role: Aerometrex is seeking a meticulous and technically skilled LiDAR Processing Officer to join our Maroochydore team.
In this role, you will work within a dynamic office environment to process and validate LiDAR datasets, contributing to the generation of high-quality geospatial products.
You'll perform GNSS processing, LiDAR point cloud classification, and quality assurance checks while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data.
Your key responsibilities include: LiDAR Data Processing: Manage LiDAR datasets from point cloud extraction through to final product delivery.Quality Assurance & GNSS Accuracy: Ensure classification quality and GNSS accuracy using QA tools.Strip Alignment & QA Checks: Conduct strip alignment and perform classification QA checks.Product Generation & Review: Create and review derived products, including DEMs, DSMs, and classified point clouds.Timeline Management & Reporting: Manage project timelines and deliver comprehensive reports within deadlines.Data Integrity & Backup: Ensure the integrity of datasets and maintain secure backups.About you / Skills and experience: We are looking for candidates who bring: Bachelor's degree in GIS, spatial sciences, environmental science, or related field.2+ years of experience in data processing is preferable.Strong communication skills and proficiency with office software (Excel, Word, etc.
