If you answered yes to these questions, then you might be the perfect candidate for the Library Technology Coordinator position at our library!
As a Library Technology Coordinator, you will be required to work in different locations across the library network and work flexibly to support opening hours, operations and programs. Weekend shifts may form part of your weekly spread of hours.
Supporting the public and library staff in accessing, maintaining, and troubleshooting library technology, such as computers, printers, scanners, e-readers, tablets, and other devices. Managing the library's hardware, software, and security systems. Developing and implementing technology policies and procedures for the library. Evaluating and recommending new technologies and solutions to improve the library's efficiency and effectiveness. Providing both traditional and technology-based library reference and circulation services to the general public. Collaborating with other library staff, vendors, and external partners on technology projects and initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Tertiary Information Technology qualifications or the equivalent IT experience gained by practical application over a minimum 3 years. Demonstrated high level understanding and commitment to user focused customer experience in IT support. Demonstrated experience in organising and presenting technology training. Well-developed judgement and problem-solving skills, with a focus on solutions, flexibility, being proactive and using initiative. Excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to prioritise competing requirements. Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends in the library and information sector. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
