These positions sit within the Information Services and Support Department. This is an opportunity for appropriately qualified and experienced professionals who enjoy problem solving and achieving outcomes.
These positions work in the GGS Library team and report to the Head of Library Services supporting and providing library services at the Corio campus.
Full-time role 37.50 hours per weekMonday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm40 working weeks per yearPart-time role 18.75 hours per week38 working weeks per yearCasual roles Leave replacement rolesTerm-time onlyAbout the Roles GGS Library Technicians are responsible for a range of tasks, including:
Working collaboratively with the GGS library team to provide exceptional service to students and staffAssisting with cataloguing and classification of resourcesBeing responsible for the library and users in the absence of a Teacher LibrarianAssisting with collection developmentAssisting with general housekeeping of the library including maintenance and shelving of collectionsAbout you Diploma of Library and Information Services or a similar qualification recognised by the Australian Library and Information AssociationExperience working with students, teenagers or young peopleExperience in the use of contemporary Library management systems and online resourcesCandidates must possess a current Victorian Working With Children Check (Employment) and a National Police Records CheckThese roles are offered with an attractive remuneration package, free lunch daily during term-time, free on-campus car parking and access to the Handbury Centre for Wellbeing.
