Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School Library Technician Permanent - Part-Time Commencing 23 January 2025 30 hours per week Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School, where excellence is in our nature.

We are looking for a dedicated Library Technician to join our team.
Working under the leadership of our Teacher Librarian, in conjunction with our Library Assistants, the Library Technician will play a vital role in maintaining an organised and welcoming library environment.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for systems that support the organisation and management of library resources.Facilitate access to information by staff and students.Operational and technical aspects of the Library's ICT, audiovisual and information management services.Assist with financial processes for purchasing resources and charging for lost items.Liaise with the Heads of Faculty and Teacher Librarian to manage textbook loans.Assist with promotions and special events, and maintain the Library's calendar of events and bookings.Desirable qualities: Experience in a school library or equivalent learning institution is preferred.Knowledge and experience in the management of at least one Library Management System and database is preferred.High level of computer skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Competence in using social media.High level of administrative skills and initiative.Relevant qualifications and experiences will be accepted. A passion for reading and promoting literacy among students, and the ability to work effectively with students of all ages is also desirable. Applicants will also need a valid Working with Children card (or willingness to obtain one).
