This is a permanent part-time (0.4 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025.

The Role As a Library Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the library, provision of reference information and maintaining the environment and associated services of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students.
The Library Officer also administers the library systems ensuring library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are always accessible and available to students and staff.
Library Officers will ideally have outstanding customer service skills to provide library support to our school community, our leadership team and staff.
You will work in partnership with staff to create a welcoming and vibrant library environment for students and families.
A love of books and a sound understanding of library systems, processes and stocktakes would be highly desirable.
The Library Officer will be responsible for assisting students, parents and staff to select program and age-appropriate materials.
They will also assist with the stocktaking and monitoring of the library budget and contributing to making recommendations for new library resources.
Eligibility To work with us, you must: be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit. Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills, including application of customer service principles and practices. Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to use computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing. Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
