We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can bring fresh perspectives to our library by enhancing our already impressive book collection with digital literacy and other online resources.

Mount Clear College is nestled into an idyllic bush setting on the edge of the Woowookarung Regional Park, 6 kilometres from the centre of Ballarat. Our College is a Year 7 to 12 co-educational College and we are renowned for, and proud of, our ability to maintain the friendly, caring approach of a small school, despite our student numbers being over 1000. SC1 Demonstrated professional knowledge and capacity in planning, development, management, promotion and evaluation of a library/resource service. SC2 Demonstrated passion, extensive knowledge and capacity to inspire a love of reading and learning, and ability to promote research skills, literacy and digital media literacy. SC3 Demonstrated creative methods in developing an inspiring and safe student-centred environment which encompasses latest technology and global thinking. SC4 A strong and demonstrated commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others, ensuring awareness of the latest developments in pedagogy, technology and resources. SC5 Highly developed `people skills¿ including communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and work with everyone in the Mount Clear College community. Role

No additional attendance is required for this position. The role will usually impact beyond the work area or professional field. Responsibilities

Promote the Resource Hub as a welcoming, vibrant and innovative space. Management and operations of the Library/Student Resource Hub. Maintain the Library Management System - Oliver. Support the development and delivery of programs and workshops that enhance students' literacy, reading and writing. Assist staff with orientation programs for students. Implement and manage the Library/Student Resource Hub budget. Collaborate with teachers and students to select materials for the collection. Foster a love of reading and learning by recommending books and resources. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of young adult reading materials. Develop and implement displays and events to promote engagement in the Library/Student Resource Hub space. Provide individualised support and guidance to students in their research. Support the Wellbeing team with various sessions. Provide training and support to students and staff. Other duties as requested by the Business Manager or Principal.
