About the Opportunity
In response to community and sector feedback on the City of Adelaide's Homelessness Strategy – Everyone's Business, new activities and responses have been outlined to support homelessness prevention and early intervention through a community development approach. This includes a bold commitment to establishing social work capacity within Adelaide City Libraries.
In this brand new role as the Library Connections Officer – Program and Partnerships, you will lead the creation and implementation of Adelaide's new Library Connections program, providing crucial support to both customers and staff.
Your focus initially will be on establishing the program, working closely with the library service management team to ensure that processes, activities, and partnerships are effectively executed and meet program goals. By building partnerships and collaboration opportunities, you will enhance outcomes, leveraging the library's position as a free, accessible, and trusted community resource.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
A tertiary qualification (Bachelor's or master's level degree) in social work Registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Specialist knowledge in either homelessness, mental health and/or drug and alcohol responses. Experience in working with people or in programs that support people with complex needs. Demonstrated experience in program design, delivery and evaluation. Experience working in a non-traditional social work setting (library, community centre, hospital, courts, schools etc). Project management skills which underpin the timely development of research, strategies, projects and programs and assist in cross functional collaboration. For Further Enquiries & How to Apply

Please be advised that this is a full time, permanent opportunity with a starting salary at the Level 6 Classification commencing at $100,882 + 11.5% superannuation. Please note that there will be a 3% salary increase to $103,908 commencing the first full pay period in January 2025.
