REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Knowledge of basic library procedures and materials (e.g., check in/out, editing records). Detail oriented and organized. Ability to work independently and with a team. Experience working with students. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Previous library experience. Teaching certificate. Experience with online catalog/circulation systems. Experience with student information systems (like Skyward). DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist with the circulation of library materials for students and staff and generate reports using the online catalog (e.g., use statistics, overdue notices). Assist in maintaining a current and accurate catalog of library materials. Process and prepare incoming materials for the library as directed by the Library Media Specialist. Assist in the circulation of course materials and equipment for the school. Provide assistance to students and staff in the use of library resources and equipment, such as the online catalog system, printers, projectors. Assist in the organization of media center activities such as author visits, student of the month, and Reading Month. Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal and Library Media Specialist. Maintain daily attendance data for reported absences and tardies. Compile daily attendance reports and assist with count day requirements. HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT : Monday through Friday (25 hours per week) follows school schedule.
