Senior Financial Reporting and System Accountant About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to align their interest in systems and expertise in financial reporting. As our Senior Financial Reporting and System Accountant you will provide timely and accurate statutory financial reports for the GFG Australia Group and its subsidiaries in accordance with reporting requirements and support the GFG Group consolidation system.
Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will have accountability for the preparation of group consolidation & all regulatory reporting obligations along with playing a key role in aiding the maintenance & improvements of the Group accounting systems.
Other responsibilities include:
Accurate and timely preparation of statutory financial statements for GFG Group and its subsidiaries in accordance with statutory and other reporting requirements and co-ordinate requirements for external audit. Monthly reporting of GFG Group consolidation results and supporting the month end close process. Provision of technical accounting advice to business on complex, new or emerging accounting issues. Support consolidation platform in Australia and Global. Managing any changes (including master data and entities hierarchies) to the accounting systems in partnership with the IT team. Assist with other new system implementation improvements and projects.
Our successful candidate will have strong analytical, communication and complex problem-solving skills with the ability to translate significant financial data into concise, meaningful and actionable information for non-finance personnel.
Skills and qualifications required:
Bachelor degree in Business / Commerce / Economics / Finance. CPA / CA qualifications. Strong technical accounting skills including consolidation accounting and statutory financial reporting disclosures. Minimum of 5 years working experience or Assistant Manager level within a Big 4 Chartered Firm. Advanced financial reporting experience. Excellent information systems skills including Excel and reporting packages - TM1, Hyperion, S4Hana, SAP, desirable. Demonstrated business partnering skills and work as part of a team. Planning, Project Management & Organisation skills. Strong commitment and willing to consistently meet tight reporting deadlines. Key Benefits
