Our market-leading portfolio will have over 40 brands, including Jim Beam and Maker's Mark Bourbon, Hibiki Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club Whisky, Roku gin, -196, V Energy, Just Juice, Fresh Up, McCoy, Pepsi, 7 Up, Mountain Dew, H2Go, NZ Natural, Gatorade, and Suntory BOSS Coffee. As One Suntory, we will be positioned as the fourth largest beverage player in the region, ready to ignite the category, creating more beverage moments from sunrise to sunset.
The Opportunity
We're bringing the best of Suntory to Oceania and building a best-in-class Sales team for our brand-new New Zealand-licensed function which will go live in 2026! Our Licensed Head of Retail offers something unique and career-defining. Joining in our build phase, you will develop your team from the ground up and play a key role in establishing work processes that best serve your team to achieve sales targets and grow & promote our product range, whilst exploring new business opportunities!
Key Responsibilities:
Business Planning: Design and deliver both long-term and short-term channel and joint business plans for Licensed Retail customers. Financial Management: Manage total expenditure, trade spend, and structure costs within the agreed budgeted guidelines. Relationship Management: Foster relationships with key customers which optimize business outcomes for both our trading partners and Suntory Oceania. Team Leadership: Build, nurture, and inspire a best-in-class team to deliver the strategy. Market Knowledge: Leverage local market knowledge and experience with the customer base to execute business plans for win/win outcomes. What's in your toolkit?
You will have a strong track record of success in a similar leadership role. You will have exceptional coaching skills and experience in leading and inspiring your team to deliver strong results. You will have a proven ability to manage targets and build new accounts with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
