As the Chief Financial Officer, you'll report to the Chief Executive Officer, taking charge of Barkly's core operational areas, including finance, governance, IT, and risk management. Your focus will be to strengthen the council's financial performance and streamline its operational frameworks. You'll oversee budget management, ensure rigorous governance standards, and lead initiatives that drive sustainable growth and high-quality service delivery across the region. Your strategic insight will be essential in navigating the unique challenges of remote service provision while aligning operations with community-focused goals.
We're seeking a capable and strategic leader with extensive experience in corporate and financial management. Ideally, you understand the unique context of regional and remote councils and can effectively manage large-scale budgets, governance practices, and operational frameworks. You'll be a collaborative and forward-thinking professional, skilled at developing relationships and fostering an inclusive and responsive workplace culture.
