Your contribution
Using your understanding and experience in regulatory enforcement, you will: 
build capability and capacity around statutory decision making as it applies to the operation of Enforcement services, and the associated compliance monitoring and enforcement processessupport the review, develop, implement and evaluate frameworks, tools, systems and processes to ensure continuous quality improvement in regulatory functions, to support the implementation of the QLeave's enforcement prioritieslead the provision of Levies services through effective management of high risk and complex mattersprovide strategic oversight to the reporting of regulatory outcomes and operations in accordance with legislative approved requirementssupport the review, and build capability and capacity as you implement effective processes for work planning, resource allocation and prioritisation of regulatory effort based on an intelligence and data-driven assessment of risk in the portable long service sectorsupport the development of frameworks and strategies relating to enforcement, including interaction with other elements of the organisationeffectively engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve regulatory outcomes, reduce regulatory burden and minimise riskprovide direction, technical guidance and leadership to staff, including ensuring that effective processes are in place for team performance assessment and capability developmentundertake complex and protracted criminal investigations in relation to alleged offences under the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 1991, Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 2005 and Community Services Industry (Portable Long Service) Act 2020.prepare appropriate matters for prosecution in the Industrial Magistrates Court, including the preparation of briefs of evidence.provide expert and independent analysis and advice to your Manager, Director and members of the Executive Leadership Team, including coordination and/or preparation of correspondence, briefing notes, memorandums, submissions, Board papers, and policy responsescomplete any other tasks as directed from time to time as directed by your supervisor.This position reports to the Manager Enforcement and leads an enforcement and a levies team.
What we are looking for 
QLeave appointments are merit-based and will be assessed by looking at what you have done previously—the knowledge, skills and experience you have built, your potential for development, and your personal qualities. 
For this role, we will consider your:
experience leading and building capability and capacity in a contemporary enforcement function, including working in collaboration with a leadership team to drive improvementknowledge and experience in developing risk based enforcement programs in line with best practice and regulatory theory, and ability to use data analytics and behavioural economics to drive decisionsability to translate between operational and strategic environments, and demonstrate accountability for the execution and quality of results through professionalism and transparencystrong verbal and written communication skills, including your ability to adapt your communication style depending upon the audience experience fostering a work environment that encourages a skilled, motivated and productive team, and manages team and individual performance matters.There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, however:
A Certificate IV in Government Investigations, Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Justice or similar qualification would be highly regarded.It is desirable to have previous experience in investigations, drafting briefs of evidence and providing oral evidence in court. Interested in applying?
